There are a couple of differences between cologne and perfume; the price, the fragrance content and the durability. Perfume is more expensive than cologne but it lasts longer and will contain more of the ingredients needed to make it smell nicer for longer. However, there are times when only cologne will do and if you are wondering when that is, then you must keep reading! If you are a person that tends to have much oilier skin than others then the fragrance that you wear may die down quicker and therefore perfume is the better option but if you have much drier skin then the fragrance will stay for much longer so therefore a cologne is the better and more affordable option. As well as being great for drier skin, a cologne will be a much better option for someone new to the world of fragrances such as young teenagers. People that have never worn perfume very often before will have a tendency to smother themselves in the fragrance so unless you want to be smelling it on them for days to come, a cologne will be a better choice for convenience as well as price reasons. Generally cologne will cost less than a perfume and although you may have to apply the fragrance more often to make it through the day, it will be cost friendly option. This is more so the case when you think of the amount of perfumes that do not have much in the way of staying power anyway and you have to apply more to keep the smell lingering as it should. At the end of the day the option between cologne and perfume is down to the individual and although there are plusses and minuses for both sides of the argument, cologne is definitely the most cost effective method of smelling pretty when it counts!
