Chanel perfume is something that screams with good taste and quiet sophistication and has become one of the main names with the best fragrances in the world. With Chanel No. 5 and Coco Mademoiselle there has developed quite a fan base and even such iconic figures as Marilyn Monroe professed their love for Number 5 Chanel perfume.
Chanel No. 5 first went on sale in 1921 and since then it has been reported that a bottle has been sold every 55 seconds all around the world. There are rumors that he perfume was named after a testing session with the designer, Coco Chanel herself took part in and was given several numbered bottles of perfume to see which one she preferred. She chose bottle number five and declared that the Chanel perfume should be called just that.
Two of the famous Chanel perfume selection currently stands in the top ten perfumes of all time, with Chanel No. 5 being at number one and the Chanel – Coco being at number four which was released after the designer sadly died. Unfortunately Coco Mademoiselle was not in the top ten of perfumes which seems rather odd but despite that, the Chanel perfume is still very much a top seller all over the world and is one of the most sought after fragrances by women all over the globe.
The jasmine scented perfume that is Chanel No. 5 deserves its place at number one of the perfume charts after its unprecedented success for over ninety years. Marilyn Monroe once famously claimed that she used to wear the perfume in bed and any other stars since then have also declared their love for one of the most iconic perfumes in the world.
